In Traditional Chinese Medicine, The wood element (Spring) is about renewal, awakening and rebirth. The intention for our Spring Yin sequence is to balance and support the functioning of Liver and Gallbladder, the two organs and energy meridian associated with this particular season. The spirit of these two organs helps us with organizing and coordinating our ideas and visions into actions and change.
Our 90 minute practice will be all about restoring balance, detoxing the organ systems, nourishing the digestive system and releasing tension and stress from the spine and hips. We will enjoy a long resting meditation in conclusion to our practice.
Yoga Blocks are available at the studio. Please bring blankets, pillows, bolsters or any other props which may feel supportive and for your comfort.
