Are you a beginner to Sun Salutation? Curious to learn the story behind it, the benefits, the correct alignment, time to practice and length of the practice? Or perhaps, a fresh look at your vinyasa practice and your relationship to this Flow.

Join Suzanne for an informative and experiential workshop as we look at and practice the key poses for construction of this infamous Vinyasa Sequence, otherwise known as Surya Namaskar.

For whom is this Workshop Suitable?
Suitable for all levels of experience from complete beginners to those with experience. Due to the nature of intensity, this workshop is not recommended during pregnancy or working with physical injury. The practice will be taught step-by-step as whole with detailed instructions.

After the Workshop
Learn all of the steps in its entirety so that you are able to practice at home or on your own. Surya Namaskar is a practice which can fit easily into a daily routine with flexible time and little commitment.
*You can expect to learn how to utilize this Flow as a 5 minute meditation, a 20 minute strength building practice or as a warming sequence to help connect to the other important poses within the framework of any Vinyasa Session.

Please bring your sticky mat and any props which feel supportive in your practice. Otherwise, mats and yoga blocks are available at the studio.

We recommend a fairly empty stomach and to dress in layers as we will be moving a fair amount. A favorite water bottle is welcomed or feel welcomed to purchase water for $1 at Riverside Yoga + Massage.
