Paula Keymont

Paula is a certified yoga instructor with over 500 hours of certifications in different styles of practice including Iyengar and YIN Yoga. She began her yoga journey in 2010, dropping in on a Community all levels class seeking something different to release the daily stress from her career as a city high school Guidance Counselor. From that moment forward, this life changing experience gave clarity to a new path forward. With a desire to deepen her personal practice, she completed her first 200-hour teacher training in Iyengar style yoga in 2013. In 2015, with an interest in trauma informed practice, Paula pursued certification in Yoga as Therapy and from there, began teaching with a desire to inspire others to enhance their overall well-being. With a combination of Iyengar focused alignment and a sensitivity and knowledge of trauma informed yoga, she instructs classes that are uplifting, challenging and heart-centered. Upon retiring from the Public School system in 2021 in a career that spanned over 30 years as a School Counselor, she decided to enhance her skills with a power focused training in Baptiste style Yoga in 2023. Paula is grateful her “encore career” helps to inspire others to experience the joy and benefits of Yoga. Most recently, Paula completed another certification training in YIN yoga. With a background in Education and Counseling, Paula is committed to guiding others in a meaningful and purposeful practice that promotes well being for both mind and body. She is also a practicing and certified Astrologer. You can find Paula’s monthly 90 minute Full Moon Class each month on Mind Body under Workshops and Series. Each month is different and devoted to a specialized sequence and meditation to infuse the energy of the Full Moon into the practice.

Paula and her husband moved to Newbury in 2019 with aspirations to be closer to the ocean they both so much love. When not in the studio, Paula can be seen walking her 100 pound Golden Retriever around town or gardening in the warm months.
