Deepen Your Yoga Practice by understanding the energetic influence of the lunar cycle. In each 90 minute class, we will learn to infuse the subtle energy around us with specific poses and breathwork as the moon moves from her New Moon phase through the Balsamic end of the monthly cycle. New insight and possibilities to create balance, joy and peace in your life will open up through understanding the gentle influence of lunar energy. You will not only enhance your yoga practice but have a deeper appreciation and understanding for the energetic influence that surrounds us through the lunar cycle every month. Each week we will practice a different flow, breathwork and meditation to coincide with the different phases of the moon. Please bring a journal or notebook to class.
Week 1 - New Moon/Crescent Moon - setting intentions/creating space for new ideas to surface. Breathwork with a Vinyasa flow.
Week 2 - First Quarter/Gibbous Moon - taking steps to put new ideas into place; working on the process of moving forward. Slow Vinyasa w/breathwork.
Week 3 - Full Moon in Virgo - Release, letting go of what isn't working, creating space for what will create more ease and success. Gentle Flow with Yin.
Week 4 - Third Quarter/Balsamic Moon - internal inquiry,self-care. Meditation with slow flow vinyasa.
